Description (From the 1999 National Paddling Film Festival press release):

Rick Gusic along with the boys and girls of Buzzlemania Productions, of Pittsburgh, PA totally boofed the competition in 1999.  The audience and judges couldn't remain silent and thundered their approval by overwhelming voting it their favorite of the festival.

Eight of fourteen amateur and professional judges picked it as their favorite of the fest. Here's some of their comments: "It actually had a story line.  The carnage shots were right on the money", "Very original - lots of laughs, Do more next year!".

Rick Gusic became the 1st filmmaker in the 19 year National Paddling Film Festival's history to win the Paddlers Choice Award twice.

"Thunderballs won an award at the 2002 Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, UT.  Paddler Magazine handed out awards to the three best videos of 2002
